range for this position is listed below. Actual pay rate dependent

where you matter. A Brief Overview Responsible for the education,
training, program administration and general supervision of the
MLS, MLT, Histology, and Phlebotomy students rotating through the
Laboratory in addition to the duties of a Clinical Laboratory
Scientist. Under the guidance of the Pathologist Medical Director
and laboratory leadership, this position assures effective
education and quality of services provided to the student
population as well as the onboarding of new employees and the
continuing education of existing staff. Performs a variety of
clinical laboratory tests, procedures and related duties throughout
the clinical laboratory (all areas), utilizing scientific
principles as well as technical, procedural, and problem-solving
aptitudes for day-to-day laboratory services, quality control,
quality assurance, procedure/instrument maintenance, test result
correlation and clinical laboratory continuing education. What you
will do Performs the duties of a Medical Laboratory Scientist in a
competent, effective manner in addition to the educational
responsibilities. Participates with the Education Coordinator and
various MLS/MLT program directors in planning, preparing the
curriculum content, practical assignments and clinical course
rotation in accordance with accreditation standards. Works with the
Education Coordinator in developing competency assessment plans,
tools and documents to meet regulatory requirements. Counsel and
guide students concerning professional goals, personal and
educational needs and problems. Participate in the resolution of
clinical issues requiring educational interventions. Develops,
adapts, presents and maintains the training rotations and
educational materials of the various programs within the laboratory
operations processes. Maintains professional skills and refine
expertise through on-site training, bench work, educational
activities, professional affiliations and research. Delivers
training independently or in collaboration with content experts.
Participates in recruitment and public relations programs to enlist
applicants for the programs and profession. Complies with
established department policies, procedures and regulations and
with hospital policies, procedures, objectives, quality assurance,
safety, environmental and infection control. Demonstrates effective
teaching skills and uses a variety of instructional methods and
teaching strategies. Essential Qualifications The individual must

License/Certification, or Work Experience: Bachelor's Transcript
showing Medical Laboratory Scientist degree or Bachelor's
Transcript showing Medical Technology degree MLS - American Medical
Technologists (AMT) Upon Hire or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS)
- American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) Upon Hire
Preferred Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience: 1-3
years Previous experience in technical quality assessment and
procedural development and implementation 1-3 years Experience in
medical laboratory science education that includes teaching
courses, conducting and supervising laboratory learning
experiences, and evaluating student achievement Expectations and
