Gpac is partnered with a growing cooperative in southeast South Dakota that is seeking an Energy Department Manager to oversee their propane and refined fuels department. Responsibilities Lead all department activity, including the procurement, sales, operations, and delivery of products and services in propane, lubricants, and refined fuels. Oversee costs of operations and develop strategies to reduce costs when possible Supervise sales, service, and delivery staff and assist when needed in personnel, operations, and planning Lead business development, strategic planning, and marketing of products and services with management and sales teams Develop innovating pricing and marketing programs that maintain company profitability Foster strong relationships with and provide consultation to energy consumers Manage, evaluate, and provide professional development opportunities for employees Work collaboratively with administrative staff to achieve company-wide initiatives, including, profitability, cross-selling, communications, staffing, and safety Adhere to company credit policy Actively participate in trade-association groups in the best interest of the company Perform other duties as assigned by management Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in business, agriculture, or related field 5 years related experience or equivalent 2-5 years in energy sales or marketing Knowledge of agriculture business and cooperative structure Knowledge of pricing, purchasing, and distribution of energy products Management experience of individuals and teams Highly developed and demonstrated teamwork skills Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills Ability to manage relationships both internally and externally Ability to lead in an environment of change Please apply with current resume to be considered for this position or other roles within the agriculture industry.
