The CBRE team is committed to the successful implementation and
maintenance of autonomous and semi-autonomous vehicles throughout
multiple datacenters. CBRE is seeking a full-time, permanent, Tier
1 Mechatronics Technician with experience in manufacturing or data
center robotics-centric automation solutions . The Tier 1
Supervisor will report to the Client-approved location(s):
--- Moncks Corner, SC --- Council Bluffs, IA --- Pryor, OK ---
Midlothian, TX --- Henderson, NV --- Leesburg, VA --- Clarksville,
TN
The Tier 1 Supervisor requirements may vary according to
client-determined assignments, but most content relates to
maintaining and troubleshooting AGV (Autonomous Guided Vehicle)
equipment and systems in the robotics portfolio at the Client's
data centers. This position is part of a multi-disciplinary team of
deployment, maintenance/troubleshooting and engineering. The
individual will collect and provide field data and collaborate with
engineers to resolve issues. Ideal candidates must be comfortable
traveling 10%-20% and communicating regularly via video conference,
email and internal ticketing systems. Skills: --- Great upbeat

capable of working individually as well. --- Ability to be
effective when working independently and as part of a team ---
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing ---
Must have excellent organizational skills --- Strong ability to
troubleshoot electrically and mechanically automated systems ---
Knowledge of Networking and Operating systems (OS), Programmable
Logic Controller (PLC), robotic, and vision experience. --- Ability
to perform repetitive field tasks for long durations such as
bending, kneeling, squatting, walking, climbing stairs, etc. ---
Reads and interprets electrical and mechanical schematics, manuals,
and written instructions to assist in troubleshooting automation
equipment issues.
Job Duties: --- Comply with quality and safety standards, policies,
and procedures. --- Conduct Operational Readiness Site Walks to
verify that the operational environment is clear of obvious
intrusions and obstructions and that the NavSystem is in good
working order. --- Conduct daily system readiness checklists to
ensure a robotics or automation system is available (exp. charged)
and safe to operate with all enabler technology in place. ---
Function as the first responder to triage robotics and automation
maintenance issues, following well-defined and structured
troubleshooting procedures and SLOs.
--- Perform Preventative and Predictive maintenance and
calibrations of existing equipment of the systems per well-defined
schedules and procedures. --- Manage shifting priorities to
coordinate with field installation schedules. --- Provide
mechanical, electrical, and control system technical support for
existing automated equipment and assist with setup of new
equipment. --- Train and mentor junior technicians and production
personnel on operational and troubleshooting techniques. --- Train
operators and other individuals about operating and troubleshooting
equipment. --- Assist with performing system validations and
engineering trials. --- Communicate with machine operators and
engineers to troubleshoot issues. --- Participate in continuous
improvement efforts, corrective action formulation, and root-cause
investigation when necessary. --- Assist with performing system
validations and engineering trials. --- Analyzes equipment process
data to identify equipment that may not be performing efficiently
and document. --- Identify opportunities to improve quality and
efficiency of automated equipment and processes. --- Document and
manage risks, issues, actions and decisions that affect
deliverables. --- Provide regular reports on system performance,
maintenance activities, and improvements. --- Provide field support
quickly and efficiently and quality control to the client
engineering team during automation validation of navigation design
drawings. --- Utilize the client ticketing system to efficiently
document and resolve issues. --- Physical demands associated with
this position include extensive walking, bending over to install
navigation tape, lifting and transporting by tool boxes, tools and
other material.
Qualifications: --- Background in Industrial Maintenance or related
field. --- (4-7) years of practical experience troubleshooting
automated manufacturing equipment in a Production setting. ---
Strong troubleshooting/maintenance skills.
