Job Description:

Job Summary:The Feed Mill Maintenance Technician performs daily maintenance on the equipment associated with milling and blending feed. - This position manages traffic flow in the receiving area, unloads grain and ingredients, samples ingredients, empties the feed barrel and maintains warehouse cleanliness.Duties and Responsibilities:

• Works with the Lead operator to replace motors and electrical contactors as needed
• Operates equipment associated with the feed mill
• Maintain tools in good working condition
• Handles micro ingredients in tote and bagged form with forklift and by hand when necessary
• Follows preventative maintenance schedule and performs maintenance duties as assigned
• Follows all mill housekeeping proceduresKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Required:
  • Awareness and knowledge of surroundings in relation to climate, atmosphere, and equipment
  • Ability to work in high elevations and enclosed spaces
  • Hand/eye/foot coordination
  • Fine motor skills
  • Thorough and attentive to details; able to prioritize and multitask; proactive
  • Solid communication and interpersonal skills
  • Independent self-starter who is highly motivated
  • Requires teamwork and developing strong relationships with coworkers
  • Basic Math skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office or similar software
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds on a regular basisEquipment:
