Job Summary:Responsible for: overall preventative and routine maintenance of buildings and equipment on Layer facility.--Monitor computer for all house vitals.--Run and clean up daily manure belts and conveyor system.--Unload trucks.--Grind daily mortality.--Maintain upkeep and operation of generator.--Snow removal. Answer alarms.--On call position and require.Duties and Responsibilities:Responsible for overall maintenance of layer facilityResponsible for overall care of birdsMonitor computer for all house vitals (water, air, feed)Run and clean-up of manure belts and conveyor system dailyResponsible for generator upkeep and operationGrind daily mortalityLoad and unload trucks with tractor/pay loaderResponsible for preventative and routine maintenance of buildings and equipmentCommunicate with Side Managers on day-to-day maintenance issuesSnow removal with tractor and shovelFollow all OSHA safety regulations and procedures Perform other tasks as assignedKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:Required:Awareness and knowledge of surroundings in relation to climate, atmosphere, and equipmentHusbandry Skills-Maintaining proper feed, water, climate and living conditions in buildingShower In (REI provides clothing and footwear)Mechanical, electrical, metal working and plumbing knowledge Drive tractors, trucksAbility to operate power tools and equipment safelyAbility to read, understand and effectively communicate information through writing and speaking so others will understandAnswer alarmsRequired to live within 15 minutes of layer siteOn call duties to include nights and weekendsHand/Eye/Foot CoordinationIndependent Self Starter/Team PlayerAttention to detailAdvanced English: fluent: speaking, reading, and writingMathematical skills: General Arithmetic/Basic Algebra/Percentages/FractionsComputer Skills: Touch screen, Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet---- Preferred:Fine Motor SkillsAbility to ride custom pedal Tri-cycleEquipment:Hard hat/Helmet/Hearing protection/ Safety glasses/Respirator mask/Harness for protectionTrucks/ Tractor/Ground-keeping equipment/ Custom pedal Tri-cycleHand tools/ Power toolsLarge push broom, kitchen pull broom/Squeegee, floor mop/ High pressure wand/ Air hoses--Powered by JazzHRPI207925238
