Job Description:
What Assembly contributes to Cardinal HealthPerforms a variety
of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production to
put together component parts to make assemblies, sub-assemblies or
completed units, using standard operating procedures. May conduct
quality inspections on processing line in accordance with quality
specifications.This role will support Manufacturing in the Medical
Segment.Shift: Monday - Friday / 3pm - 11pm$2000 Sign on
Bonus!!Benefits Day One!!AccountabilitiesMold changes - position,
set, secure mold into molding machines using overhead crane hoist,
pneumatic tools and hand tools; connect and disconnect water lines
and nozzles, align, grease and clean moldsEnsure machines achieve
efficient cycle time - set machine clamps, heat and water pressure,
and timing controls; periodically check and readjust as
neededDiagnose, troubleshoot, maintain injection molding machines
and machine feeding/ regrinding equipment - remove, clean and
replace screws; remove, repair, rebuild and replace oil lines,
hydraulic valves and controls; change and tighten molds tips and
pull bars; remove and replace shields; remove and plug mold
cavities and repair core pin tips; adjust and replace nozzle
system; fill and adjust hydraulic systemReport any machine
malfunction to designated individual and recommend equipment
modifications to achieve improved operationAdjust machines to
produce quality parts - install, adjust, remove and replace various
machine stations and components; adjust material feeder/delivery
equipment and detection devices; regulate heat and several types of
timing controls; start machine to test operation by producing parts
for inspections; make readjustments until finished product meets
quality standardsConsult with designated individual on electrical
malfunctions or repairs for course of actionPrepare machine
production and maintenance documentationMaintain certification to
operate overhead crane and powered liftUse a variety of pneumatic
tools and small hand tools - maintain them in good working
orderParticipate in EH&S activities and complete necessary
trainingsFollow all ISO 13485, GMP, OSHA and plant/corporate
standards, policies, and proceduresObserve all safety precautions
and regulations and report all safety incidents, hazards, and
potential unsafe working conditionsQualificationsHigh School
Diploma or GED, preferred3-5 years related work experience and/or
training, preferredProven mechanical aptitude with ability to
diagnose problemsUnderstanding of FDA regulations surrounding the
manufacturing of medical devices, and GMPsExperience with Six Sigma
and Lean Manufacturing toolsWhat is expected of you and others at
