Kemps is a farmer-owned brand of Dairy Farmers of America (DFA), a diary marketing cooperative owned by more than 12,500 family farmers. - Since 1914, Kemps has provided families with fresh, delicious dairy products, fresh milk, frozen yogurt, sour cream, cottage cheese and frozen novelty treats. - By joining Kemps, you can help us continue to make a difference that matters. - We care deeply about the well-being of our neighbors and friends, and we celebrate the diversity of our company and our world. - It takes an incredible team to deliver the goodness of dairy and enrich our communities - come join us! -We are currently seeking an FSQA/Sanitation Supervisor to join our Kemps Plant in Le Mars, IA that produces fluid milk and cream. - In this role, you will supervise employees engaged in activities to ensure that operations meet sanitation requirements for machinery, equipment, and the facility in accordance with the company's policies, OSHA regulations, and applicable laws. - Ensure that sanitation, quality and department efficiencies are maintained at or above standards. - - - - Shift: - 3rd shift: - 12:00 am - 8:30 am -Core Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Schedule, assign and monitor work, and provide clear direction to sanitation employees to meet the needs of the business. Ensure effective selection, retention, feedback, disciplinary action, and performance management. - Train and instruct employees in regards to sanitation standards, good manufacturing practices (GMP's), Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP's), and objectives. Oversee instruction, implementation, and enforcement of policies as they relate to employees.Implement and maintain sanitation programs and ensure compliance with company standards and directives.Analyze and resolve work problems, or assist workers in solving work problems.Collaborate with other supervisors to coordinate activities to identify, solve and prevent problems affecting sanitation. Conduct audits of sanitation and clean-in-place (CIP) processes to ensure compliance with SSOP's.Recommend measures to continuously improve sanitation methods, equipment performance, and quality of products produced and distributed by the facility.Manage relationships with outside vendors (e.g. chemical supplier).Work cross-functionally and collaboratively with DFA operations, QA & C and chemical supply vendors, develop, implement, and continuously improve on sanitation programs, policies, and key performance indicators (KPI's).Maintain safe working conditions for employees and compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding health and safety issues.
