Competitive pay: Holy Spirit Retirement Home has a minimum starting wage of $15.00 for all departments. The pay is increased based on position, and experience. We offer evening and night shift differentials, as well as pick-up-shift bonuses.

Referral bonuses:
Of course, we offer an employee referral bonus for both full-time, part-time, and PRN employees.
Full-time employees can receive a referral bonus of $350.00 at 3 and 6 months.
Part-time employees can receive a referral bonus of $250.00 at 3 and 6 months.
PRN employees can receive a referral bonus of $125.00 at 3 and 6 months.
These are applicable across all departments.

What we require...
Employees hired by Holy Spirit Retirement Home are subject to COVID-19 vaccination requirements. Newly hired staff must be fully vaccinated or willing to obtain the first dose of a two-dose series, prior to begin employment. Newly hired staff who are not yet fully vaccinated must follow the guidelines for additional precautions, until they are fully vaccinated.

--- All nursing staff must be CPR certified.

Who we are hiring for..

Job Title: Assistant to the Director of Nursing
Pay: Salary
Hours: 8am-5pm

Under the direction of the Director of Nursing, in cooperation and collaboration with the Nursing Team, the Assistant Director of Nursing is to supervise the day-to-day nursing activities of the facility. Such supervision must be in accordance with current federal, state, and local standard, guidelines and regulations and our established policies and procedures, and as may be directed by the Director of Nursing/or Administrator/ Executive Director to ensure that the highest degree of quality care is always maintained.

--- Must possess, as a minimum, a Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university, or be a graduate of an approved RN/LPN program. Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred.
--- Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as a RN/LPN in this state.
--- Must possess and maintain current CPR Certification.
--- Must possess skilled MDS Functions.
--- Be able to monitor compliance and accuracy in PCC.
--- Must have training and/or experience in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices.
--- Must be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to long-term care

Basic to intermediate proficiency with Microsoft product suite (MS Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.); basic knowledge and experience with electronic mail and calendaring system. Ability to type with accuracy.

Primarily works inside with frequent kneeling, crouching, reaching, lifting, sitting, walking, bending, and lifting. Must be able to push, pull, move and or lift a minimum of 25 pounds to a minimum height of 3 - feet and be able to push, pull, move and or carry such weight a minimum distance of 10 feet. May be necessary to assist in the evacuation of residents in emergency situations.

May be required to work beyond normal working hours, on weekends and other positions temporarily when necessary and may be subject to call back during emergency conditions. May be required to work on shifts other than those which originally hired.

Maintains a working knowledge of applicable Federal, State, and local laws and regulations, as well as other policies and procedures to ensure adherence in a manner that reflects honest, ethical, and professional behavior.


Establish and/or maintain departmental procedures that support the necessary operational functions for the Skilled Nursing Department.

Evaluate, develop, mentor, coach, counsel, and discipline department staff. Supports community personnel from other departments through coaching and mentoring to help achieve optimum standard of excellence. Addresses issues of concern through conversation and notifies department manager of any interactions requiring attention.

Admit, transfer and discharge residents as required. Perform administrative duties such as completing medical forms, reports, evaluations, studies, charting, etc. and activities to include 24x48x72 hour follow-up and internal transitions, discharges for South Building.

Assist in the development of preliminary and comprehensive assessments of the nursing needs of each resident. Review resident's medical and nursing treatments to ensure that they are provided in accordance with the resident's care plan and wishes.

Ensure that all nursing personnel follow their respective job descriptions. Meet with the nursing staff, as well as support personnel in planning the department's services. Monitor that those all-departmental personnel follow established policies and procedures, including dress code.

ADON will be responsible for all skilled nursing scheduling. This has the expectation that each shift will have the appropriate number of staff working as well as maintaining who is on call. In line with this, the ADON will verify time punch records and reviewing requests for time off. Must monitor shift trading, and work to avoid scheduling overtime when possible.

Assist the Education Director in developing, implementing, and conducting in-service training programs that relate to the nursing service department. Ensure the continuing education requirements, which allow licensed personnel to keep their license current.

Responds to emergency situations, gathers date pertinent to emergencies, takes appropriate action, and notifies establish infection control procedures.

Assists Director of Nursing with incident reporting to assure complete documentation of occurrence. Analyzes data and develops appropriate action plans, identifies trends, patterns, and outcomes. Provides these plans and trends to various committees attended.
