Accura HealthCare of Sioux City, in Sioux City, Iowa has an opportunity to welcome an Administrator in Training to our team! Accura HealthCare of Sioux City is a four star, 46 bed skilled nursing facility (long term care (LTC) and rehabilitative services), certified to participate in both Medicare and Medicaid. Our unique Administrator in Training (AIT) opportunity is ideal for a newly licensed Administrator or someone experienced within the senior living industry, at minimum healthcare, that is actively pursuing becoming an Administrator within LTC. This specific AIT opportunity is unique in that our LNHA at Sioux City also oversees our Le Mars location, which is within close proximity. While a strong emphasis will be associated with Sioux City, you'll be given the unique opportunity to partner and work collaboratively with leadership and site level teams at two senior living communities! Passion, drive, the spirit of an overcomer, and strong interpersonal skills are attributes desired in our ideal AIT. We are looking for individuals that want to learn, grow and have the desire to invest in and develop others, allowing us all an opportunity to thrive! You'll be given the opportunity to lead projects, people and programs. Attention will be given to things like financials, such as managing a budget. You will have a direct impact on operations, staying abreast of rules, regulations, policies and procedures that impact compliance and promote positive surveys. Business and people development will be a large focus as you promote and align with Accura HealthCare's people first culture, creating an environment that people want to be a part of and those results will positively impact retention. Through collaborative efforts, you will grow and develop into a highly successful Licensed Nursing Home Administrator (LNHA). Accura HealthCare AIT opportunities are learn as you earn, not job shadow. You will gain first hand knowledge and experience what it means to lead and serve as a LNHA. Our goal is to develop and support you in becoming a successful, highly competent Administrator, honing your skills while promoting opportunities to lead and develop others, so they may also thrive. As an Administrator in Training, you will offered the platform to work through adversity, overcome challenges and experience lots of wins! Our AIT program currently accepts applicants that are not yet licensed, but qualified to take the NAB test . Please advise on your application if you already have a date set to take the NAB and/or already received your LNHA certification (yet seek an AIT opportunity to further elevate and enhance your skills). Together, our efforts will support you becoming a confident Administrator, ready to successfully serve as an LNHA in the future. You will work primarily to learn the key competencies of the administrator role and to develop the qualities needed to become a successful servant leader. Training may involve travel to other Accura facilities as well as to the Resource Center in Clive. Minimum Requirements: * Bachelor's degree in Health Care Administration or related field * Actively engaged in pursuing Iowa Administrator License (Please note: We will only consider individuals who have clearly identified they understand the prerequisites and are actively working towards and/or have obtained approval to sit for the Iowa exam. Prior AIT related experience is highly beneficial and/or recently licensed nursing home administrators that seek additional development are also of interest.) * Demonstrated leadership skills * Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills * Ability and experience to: * Set and achieve relevant and challenging goals for self and team * Hire and develop quality leadership team * Proactively anticipate and respond to resident, employee and facility needs * Balance the day-to-day operational needs with long-term goals * Establish a and maintain community presence and reputation that supports the facility * Create a culture that is aligned with the organization's core values * Astute with business financial analytics and management * Must be open to travel and potential relocation.
