Performs duties of a highly confidential nature. Analyzes and organizes office operations and procedures, such as typing, bookkeeping, flow of correspondence, filing, requisition of supplies, and other clerical services.Essential FunctionsReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. + Performs monthly billings for various subsidiaries of Ho-Chunk, Inc. + Assist Accounting Manager with bank reconciliations, balance sheet account reconciliations and other light bookkeeping duties + Serve as a back-up resource for accounts payable clerk. + Designs, prepares and maintains spreadsheets using basic mathematical calculations. + Copy, Scan, print, email and file documents in an organized and professional manner. + Work independently and within a team on special and nonrecurring and ongoing projects. + Assist the accounting staff on special projects which may include planning and coordinating multiple presentations, disseminating information, and organizing department wide events. + Analyze procedures and recommends changes to save time, labor, and other costs and to improve quality control and operating efficiency. + Maintains a favorable working relationship with all employees to promote a cooperative and harmonious working environment in order to facilitate positive employee morale, productivity, and continued improvement. + General secretarial and general correspondence duties including letter writing, mail processing, filing, petencies1. Speaking.Supervisory ResponsibilityThis position has no supervisory responsibilities.Work EnvironmentThis job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. 1. Must be able to remain in a stationary position 90% of the time 2. Occasionally moves about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. 3. Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer. 4. Those activities in which they must convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly or quickly. 5. Occasionally moves equipment up to 25 pounds. 6. Must be able to work indoor conditions 95% of the time. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.Position Type/Expected Hours of WorkThis is a full-time position. Typical days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.TravelTravel is required during the business day, out-of-area and overnight travel to be expected.Experience+ Two or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. + Experience working with Deltek GCS, Deltek Costpoint and SharePoint is preferred, but not required. + Detail-oriented, self-motivated and able to work in a deadline driven environment + Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide mathematical figures. + Ability to compare data from a variety of sources for accuracy and completeness. + Read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations + Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal + High degree of poise and professionalism when interacting with internal and external contacts + Ability to prioritize workload, solve problems quickly and interact with others to achieve efficient, seamless workflow + Proficient with all Microsoft Office programs and other miscellaneous business software + Must be able to work in a fast paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands + Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memosEducationAssociates degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school.Additional Eligibility QualificationsMaintains a valid Drivers License and be insurable under company insurance provider/programSecurity ClearanceNone required for this positionAAP/EEO StatementHo-Chunk, Inc. is an equal opportunity employer.
