Title I Reading/ Math Teacher 6-8 Grade

Job Summary:

Title I teachers work with small groups and individual students to provide additional support in reading and math. Provide reading and math support to teachers, students, and parents in Title I middle schools. Provide training to, mentor, and assist teachers in effective reading strategies. Develop and help carry out effective plans to help students improve in reading and math ability.

Qualifications:

* Iowa teaching license * Strong knowledge of research based reading strategies * Proven ability to work with diverse cultural population * Willingness to take a leadership role in promoting an effective school-wide literacy program

Working Conditions:

Employee must be able to sit, stoop, bend, and walk as needed on a daily basis. While performing duties within this job, employee may be exposed to indoor and outdoor conditions. The noise level in this work environment ranges from mild to loud.
