until closed): 03-31-2026 Job Description: The Nebraska Information
Analysis Center (NIAC) is looking for a motivated, dedicated, and
efficient tactical crime analyst to join our team. The NIAC mission
is to collect, evaluate, analyze, and disseminate information and
intelligence data regarding criminal, and terrorist activity to
federal, state, local and tribal law enforcement agencies, other
Fusion Centers and to public and private entities as appropriate.
As a NIAC Crime Analyst, you will review, evaluate, and collate
requests and information before passing requests and information on
to leadership and other analysts. This position will work with
teammates, as well as local, state, federal, and tribal law
enforcement, to share criminal and threat intelligence related to
Nebraska. This position will primarily work with leadership to
ensure requests and information are passed to the pertinent members
of the NIAC team from multiple sources and applications used by law
enforcement and national security centric agencies. • Support
investigative casework using your analytic skill set and research
numerous databases. • Maintain contact with allied agencies to
share and disseminate intelligence information. • Maintain
intelligence files and agency databases. • Attend training sessions
as required. • Attend intelligence meetings for the purpose of
gathering and/or disseminating intelligence information. • Drafts
administrative subpoenas to obtain sensitive/confidential
information from phone and utility companies, businesses, internet
providers, and other information sources. • Submit preservation
requests to support active Nebraska State Patrol investigations. •
Develop and maintain relationships with law enforcement and
facilitate intelligence/information sharing and dissemination to
all levels of government and via multiple mediums. • Maintain
situational awareness using NSP communication systems. • Review,
evaluate, and respond or pass to teammate Requests for Service from
partner agencies. • Receive, review, and analyze open source, case
reports, field interview cards, and other data sources to assess
relevance and validity. • Develop and disseminate weekly bulletin
in collaboration with other analysts. • Collaborate with analysts
to maintain distribution and contact lists. • Submit and maintain
intelligence data in the state of Nebraska intelligence database. •
Additional duties as assigned. Requirements/ Qualifications Minimum
Qualifications : Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice,
research/statistical methods, program evaluation, or related
quantitative analysis field, and one year experience performing
technical (non-clerical) support work or analytical work, to
include collecting and analyzing data and preparing reports and
summaries. Additional years of experience in the fields listed
above may substitute for the required education on a year for year
basis. Preferred Qualifications: Understanding of crime analysis
and intelligence in law enforcement. Demonstrated ability to
communicate ideas, and analysis results with a variety of
customers. Ability to develop and maintain professional information
sharing relationships. Experience with Law Enforcement Sensitive
Information or other levels of restricted information. Someone who
is willing to do shift work, on-call, and occasionally on-scene to
support operation activities. Someone who enjoys learning new
technologies to increase efficiencies on work tasks. Other: Regular
and reliable attendance is expected. Applicants will be screened
for a record of criminal activity and criminal history using a
fingerprint-based check, before a final offer of employment is

instructions pertinent to the collection, analysis, and
dissemination/presentation of data Create and summarize data into
charts, timelines, graphs, tables, and narrative reports Enter data
electronically and use available computer applications/software and
equipment to research information sources and to compile, store,
