HR GENERALISTAt Security National Bank, if there is one belief we hold together as a team, it's that everything matters. -From the words we say, to the way we dress, to the decisions we make and the actions we take - every single thing we do matters. -Why? -Because we recognize the inherent value of each individual, and the potential of what each person can become. -We realize every one of life's interactions is an opportunity to help someone reach that potential. -This is why we treat even the smallest details of life and banking with careful thought and attention. -If you aspire to do the same, we'd like you to advance your career with us at SNB.JOB DESCRIPTION:The HR Generalist serves a vital role as a direct point of contact for various talent management matters including recruiting, on-boarding, and employee relations in a poised, polished, and professional manner. -The HR Generalist is a strategic partner throughout the organization and must maintain an effective level of business literacy about the culture, initiatives, and challenges. -Some key responsibilities include:Manage the full-cycle talent acquisition process for non-exempt positions and execute recruiting activities including: -job posting, sourcing and screening applicants, applicant tracking, presenting job offers, and candidate correspondence.Conduct new employee orientation and exit interviews.Collaborate with management to create, update, and maintain job descriptions.Maintain compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.Prepare data and submit required reporting for Affirmative Action Plans, EEO, and VETS-4212.Assist with the administration and maintain proficiency with various HR programs including: -compensation, benefits, disciplinary matters, disputes and investigations, performance and talent management, recognition, occupational health and safety, and training and development.Provide guidance and support to managers and employees with complex Human Resources and policy related issues.Conduct research and analysis of organizational trends utilizing HCM/HRIS system data.Assist with the development and implementation of HR strategic initiatives. --- - -QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.At least 5 years of broad HR experience.Previous experience with Affirmative Action and EEO regulations.PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred.Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment, integrity, and honesty.Ability to handle confidential information in a sensitive manner.Meticulous attention to detail required.Service-oriented, polite, and respectful.Ability to prioritize tasks, multi-task, and meet deadlines.Problem solver with the ability to objectively review a challenge and suggest multiple alternatives.Advanced negotiation skills.Team-oriented and the ability to work collaboratively across all levels of the organization.Ability to navigate multiple computer systems and programs. - - -HOURS: -Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm.BENEFITS: -We offer a comprehensive benefit package to our employees including medical, dental, short and long term disability, life insurance, paid time off, a wellness program, and a 401(k) savings plan at hire for future financial protection. -ABOUT SECURITY NATIONAL BANK: -Security National Bank was chartered in 1884 in Sioux City, Iowa; founded on the time-tested principles of integrity, honor, open-mindedness, efficiency, good humor, respect, duty, and human connection. -These principles served as guideposts that enabled SNB to withstand the economic panic of the late 1800s, the Great Depression, two World Wars, and the farm crisis "" -and emerge as the region's most established and trustworthy locally owned bank. -We believe what was worth doing well yesterday is still worth doing well today.
