Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 03/02/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel /n Job Description/n American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg and Behavioral Health position in Iowa with 12-hour day shifts and floating requirements. /n /n Responsibilities/n - Position is in a hospital setting with Med/Surg and Behavioral Health units - Three 12-hour shifts per week from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM - Floating may be required within the same discipline across local campuses - Every other weekend coverage is required - No on-call responsibilities - Uses Epic EMR system - Work as part of an interdisciplinary team providing care to Med/Surg and Behavioral Health patients - Orientation will be provided (16 hours) - Holiday coverage: Must work 2 of 3 major winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s) - Only one day of requested time off allowed between 11/26/25-11/30/25 and 12/23/25-1/2/26 /n /n Requirements/n - Active IA or compact RN license required - BLS certification from AHA required - IA Mandatory Reporter certification required - Minimum of 1 year RN experience required - References: One supervisory reference from within the past 2 years required - Driver’s license required for consideration - Must have a taxable address outside of 50 miles from the facility - First time travelers accepted /n Benefits/n - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts /n American Traveler Job ID P-670054.
