Locums Opportunity - Cardiac Anesthesiology (Omaha, Nebraska)

IMLC Accepted

• Start Date: ASAP (Must have availability to be considered)
• Ongoing availability through December 2026
• Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8-10 hour shifts
• Call: Unrestricted overnight and weekend call required
• Setting: Level I Trauma / Academic Center
• EMR: Epic

• Board Certified in Cardiac Anesthesiology - REQUIRED
• TEE Certified (Advanced Perioperative Echocardiography, NBE/Testamur status) - REQUIRED
• Cardiac Anesthesiology Fellowship (ACGME or equivalent) - REQUIRED

Alternate Qualification Path (if no fellowship):

• Minimum 5 years CV Anesthesia experience
• Letters of recommendation (Anesthesiologists and CV Surgeons)
• NBE Testamur status - REQUIRED

• Nebraska License - Highly Preferred
• IMLC - Accepted / Highly Preferred
• Will consider candidates needing a license if it can be obtained by May

• Cardiac cases: open heart, thoracic, vascular, structural heart
• Additional coverage: general OR as needed
• Procedures: TEE required
• Patient population: Adult and Geriatric only (no pediatrics)
• Annual cardiac volume: 360-450 cases
• Team: 2 cardiac surgeons
• Work model: Hands-on with occasional CRNA supervision

• 187-bed Level 1 Trauma / Academic Center
• 15 main ORs
• 3 Endoscopy Suites
• 2 EP Labs
• Additional areas: Cardiology (invasive and non-invasive), Neuro IR, Bronchoscopy, MRI, Obstetrics

• Reason for coverage: Previous locum canceled
• Must be comfortable covering both cardiac and general OR cases
