Job Description:
Good Samaritan Health Center seeks a dedicated and compassionate
Certified Medication Aid (CMA) to join our team. At Good Samaritan,
we strive to provide attentive, holistic healthcare to underserved
communities, ensuring that all patients achieve optimal health and
wellness. As a CMA at our center, you will be a pivotal part of our
patient care team, responsible for administering medication and
contributing to treatment plans under the supervision of registered
nurses and doctors. Your role helps ensure the safe and
professional delivery of medications, alongside monitoring and
reporting patient responses. Administer prescribed medications to
patients and maintain related medical records under supervision.
Verify identity of patient receiving medication and record name,
dosage, and time of administration on specified forms or records.
Clarify any order discrepancies with the supervising nurse or
doctor. Monitor patients for drug reactions and report any
complications immediately. Assist with patient care plans,
following exact guidelines and instructions from healthcare
providers. Educate and counsel patients and families on proper
medication usage and basic health practices. Keep the medication
room and related equipment clean and orderly. Strong understanding
of medication types, usage, and storage Excellent attention to
detail and precision Ability to communicate medical information
clearly to patients and healthcare staff Efficient in maintaining
accurate patient records Capability to work effectively under
pressure in a fast-paced environment Medical Insurance Dental
