Sanford Health is seeking a dedicated Behavioral Health Counselor to join our dynamic mental health services team across our extensive network. This role requires a compassionate professional dedicated to providing exceptional care and implementing effective treatment plans for individuals with a range of behavioral health issues. Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to diagnose behavioral, emotional and mental disorders. Create and implement detailed treatment plans to address patient needs and behavioral goals. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate treatment and promote patient wellness. Maintain accurate records and documentation of patient sessions and progress. Provide crisis intervention as necessary. Educate patients and families on coping strategies and lifestyle adjustments. Engage in continuous professional development to stay atop the latest in mental health practices and standards. Strong interpersonal and communication skills Proficiency in evidence-based therapeutic approaches and counseling techniques Adept at crisis management and intervention Ability to maintain confidentiality and build trust Proficient in clinical documentation and record-keeping Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Licensed as a Professional Counselor, Clinical Social Worker, or similar Certified in CPR and First Aid Continuous education in behavioral health, psychological disorders, and therapy techniques
