qualifications will not be considered. Provide specialized nursing
care on a dynamic Stepdown unit focused on patients with heart
failure, atrial fibrillation, respiratory distress, and stroke.
This contract position invites skilled RNs to apply critical
thinking and clinical expertise in a fast-paced environment where
teamwork and patient-centered care are essential. Location: Council
Bluffs, IA, offers a welcoming Midwestern community with convenient

both work and life. Key Responsibilities: Deliver direct care to up
to four patients per nurse (1:4 ratio) managing advanced cardiac
and respiratory conditions. Titrate drips including Cardizem,
amiodarone, and nitroglycerin safely and effectively. Interpret
cardiac telemetry strips independently using provided monitoring
systems. Collaborate with Charge Nurses, who carry full patient
assignments, and support staff including patient care techs at a
1:10 ratio. Provide CPAP troubleshooting as needed. Participate in
cyclic scheduling covering day and night shifts (0630-1900,
1830-0700), with every-other weekend and assigned holiday shifts.
Float to the ICU when assigned and adequately experienced.
Successfully complete a 12-hour orientation shift on the unit.
Qualifications: Active RN license with BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
certifications. Valid drivers license to confirm residency within a
50-mile radius; candidates currently employed in any capacity at
facilities affiliated with CommonSpirit (including CHI and Dignity)
within the past year are ineligible. Willingness to comply with the
strict no artificial nail policy. Pass an open-book skills exam
during orientation with a minimum score of 90%. Additional
