patient population - Must have EPIC charting experience
Description: This is a full-time position for a registered nurse.
The role involves providing care in a medical surgical and
telemetry unit. The unit caters to a diverse patient population,
including orthopedic patients and those with complex medical
conditions. Patient care will include managing cases such as total
knee and hip replacements, pulmonary issues, sepsis, GI, endocrine,
cardiac, renal, and psychiatric illnesses. Travelers should be
prepared to float frequently to meet the staffing needs of the
facility. Training for safety and de-escalation will be provided
for nurses caring for patients with behavioral health conditions.
Ratios are typically 1:5 during the day and 1:6 at night; however,
night ratios may occasionally rise to 1:7. Flexibility with
scheduling is required, with potential for weekend shifts.
Travelers must work two out of three major holidays. Experience
with managing drips and IV protocols is essential for this role.
The facility is a 100% nicotine-free environment. All applicants
must have prior experience caring for complex patients in an acute
