Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg / Ortho RN in Omaha,
Nebraska, 68124! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN
(Registered Nurse) Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2 years
License: Required Certifications: BLS required, ACLS preferred
Must-Have: Driver's license required Description: The unit focuses
on providing care for patients in a medical surgical setting.
Common diagnoses include joint replacements, fractures, COPD
exacerbations, cellulitis, and sepsis. Nurse-to-patient ratios
range from 1:5 to 1:6. Staff will be required to titrate certain
medications when necessary. A charge nurse will be available on
each shift, and they will take an assignment. Patient care techs
will assist nurses with a ratio of 1:10-20. Nursing staff should
have awareness of telemetry; tele techs will primarily interpret
cardiac strips. Shifts are scheduled with a mix of required weekend
rotations, and holiday coverage may be needed. Floating to other
medical surgical areas may be required based on patient needs. The
dress code requires navy blue scrubs. The unit emphasizes strong
team collaboration, compassion for patients, and cultural
sensitivity. Mechanical lifts are available to assist with patient
movement. Rounding on patients is expected to ensure responsiveness
