Clinical Drug & Alcohol Abuse Counselor (LAC or CAC) in the State

Springfield, SD! Travel Assignments are available for qualified
candidates Behavioral Healthcare Professions sought: - Licensed
Addiction Counselor (LAC) - Certified Addiction Counselor (CAC)
LAC/CAC Details - Full Time Schedules - Primarily Monday through
Friday schedule - Some weekends may be required - 8 hour shifts
available - Contract Position LAC/CAC Duties - Assess patients and
clients for mental health conditions, emotional disorders, or
addiction disorders - Create tailored treatment plans to improve
clients’ well being - Coordinate with social service providers to
secure resources for clients - Provide counseling services to
individuals or small groups - Maintain client records - Perform
other job duties as assigned LAC/CAC Qualifications - Graduation
from an accredited educational institution - Licensed as a Licensed
Addiction Counselor (LAC) or Certified Addiction Counselor (CAC) by
the State in which the position is located. The license MUST be in
good standing - 1 year of relevant chemical dependency experience -
Experience preferred in DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy) and/or
CBISA (Cognitive Behavioral Interventions-Substance Abuse) for
group therapies LAC/CAC Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: -
Knowledge of casework methods, techniques, and their applications
to work problems - Knowledge of the principles of human growth and
behavior, basic sociological and psychological treatment and
therapy practices - Knowledge of interviewing skills and techniques
- Ability to express ideas effectively, orally and in writing -
Ability to use interviewing skills and techniques effectively -
Ability to exercise good judgment in evaluating situations and
