Medical Laboratory Technician Location: Winnebago, NE Agency: Acruex Health Pay: $1,512 to $1,656 per week Shift Information: Days - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 16 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Pay Rate: $42.00 - $46.00/Hourly. Summary: A Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) performs laboratory tests and procedures that assist physicians in diagnosing, monitoring, and treating medical conditions. This role involves analyzing blood, urine, and other body fluids using sophisticated laboratory equipment while ensuring accuracy, quality control, and regulatory compliance. Responsibilities: Under the direct supervision of the Laboratory Manager, the MT/MLT provides technical support by performing analyses, tests, and procedures that assist in the prevention, diagnosis, or treatment of diseases. Accessioning/ ordering tests in the Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) and processing specimens with referral to the reference laboratories. Operates, maintains, and calibrates the equipment used to ensure it is operating efficiently and providing accurate results. Performs basic troubleshooting as needed. Maintain documentation according to regulatory agencies and write laboratory policies and procedures. Exposure to infectious clinical specimens on a regular basis, so adherence to sterilization and infection control procedures is required. This position is responsible for using his/her skill, accuracy, proficiency and dedication to work in all laboratory sections performing analytical testing on patients specimens. Candidate must demonstrate excellent customer service skills. Candidate must be comfortable with routine phlebotomy. Requirements Requirements: 1 - Year experience Required, BLS Certification, ACLS Certification, PALS Certification, NRP Certification, ASCP Certification, MLT Certification.
