Job Description:
Good Samaritan Health Center seeks a compassionate and skilled
Medication Assistant, Certified, in Long Term Care (LTC) to enhance
the daily care of our community's seniors. This position offers an
opportunity to work in a patient-focused environment that aims to
empower and support underserved populations by attending to their
long-term healthcare needs. Our center prioritizes holistic health
and wellness outcomes, and by joining our dedicated team, you will
play a crucial role in fulfilling this mission by ensuring safe and
accurate medication administration and aiding in the daily
wellbeing of our residents. Administer daily medications to
residents as per physician orders, ensuring strict adherence to
dosage and timing specifications. Record and update patient
medication administration records and report any adverse reactions
or side effects immediately. Assist in monitoring resident health
and wellness through regular check-ups and coordination with
healthcare professionals. Provide compassionate care and support
daily living activities, promoting residents' independence and
well-being. Educate residents and their families about medication
and health practices, enhancing their ability to manage health
conditions. Strong knowledge of pharmacology and proper medication
administration techniques. Excellent organizational skills for
managing medication schedules and patient records. Ability to
communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare
team members. Compassion and patience, with a strong dedication to
elderly care. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance
Life Insurance 401k Certified Medication Assistant (CMA)
certification required. First Aid and CPR certifications
preferred.
