A contract opportunity is available for a skilled Sign Language Interpreter specializing in telehealth services within an educational setting. This 1099 contract position requires delivering high-quality interpretation support to facilitate effective communication for students and staff who are deaf or hard of hearing. Responsibilities include: Providing accurate and clear sign language interpretation during telehealth sessions and other school-related activities. Collaborating with educators, healthcare providers, and families to ensure communication access. Maintaining confidentiality and adhering to professional ethical standards. Utilizing technology effectively to support remote interpreting assignments. Documenting and reporting as required by contract guidelines. Desired qualifications and experience: Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and knowledge of Deaf culture. Experience interpreting in educational and telehealth environments. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage time efficiently and work independently under a 1099 contract arrangement. Familiarity with relevant laws and guidelines surrounding telehealth interpretation services.
