Registered Nurse (RN) | Intensive Care Unit (ICU) / Critical
Care Location: Omaha, NE Agency: Mindlance Health Pay: $2,242 per

qualified ICU/Critical Care RN in Omaha, Nebraska, 68101! ID:
75397765 Shift: 12H Nights 12 hr nights Description: Unit :
ICU*Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS*Radius Rule: 50 miles AND
candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any
facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or
Dignity.* * RN's - Pass/Fail exam on Friday during orientation.
OPEN BOOK exam on skills learned - they are given all necessary
resources to pass. Must receive a 90% to pass or they will be
terminated * Driver's license required at submittal and will be
used to determine if candidate is outside 50 miles.Fingernail
policy: Artificial nails are prohibited in all departments
providing patient care- refusal to remove nails will lead to
termination of contract- Beds: 16- Ratios: 1:2, occasionally 1:3-
Common diagnoses/Types of patients: Variety of ICU acuity patients-
vented patients, BIS scoring, TTM, IABP (rarely)- Are RNs required
to titrate drips? Yes- Common titratable &/or set rate drips:
Vasopressors/inotropes, sedatives, heparin, octreotide, insulin- Is
there a Charge Nurse on each shift? Does the charge nurse take an
assignment?: Yes- Are there nurse aids/patient care techs on this
unit? Ratios? Duties?: No- Hospitalist &/or Intensivist in
house 24/7? In the ICU 24/7?: eICU support in 14 rooms- Shifts &
Scheduling: 7-7 / 6 week scheduling done by a scheduler- Weekend
Requirements: Every other- Holiday Requirements: Will rotate with
perm staff- Floating Requirements: Can float to PCU or MedSurg-
Scrub Color/Dress Code: Navy Blue- How many shifts of
unit/department specific orientation?: Classroom orientation and
then 2-12 hour shifts on the unit- Additional Notes: Looking for
positive nurses willing to work with others as a team to overcome
challengesRadius Rule: 50 miles AND candidates may not be full
time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with
CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity. RTO needed upfront (7
or less days per 13 week contract). Additional RTO will not be
