have strong experience (“3s & 4s”) across ALL OR service lines
Experience in all specialties listed below is required No
first-time OR travelers Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS Facility
& Unit OR Suites: 12 Trauma Level: Level I EMR: Epic Scrubs: Green
(provided by hospital) OR Techs: Yes Charge/Manager on shift: Yes
Floating: None outside OR Case Mix (All Ages | All Acuities)
Includes outpatient, inpatient, and Level I trauma cases. General /
Laparoscopic: Bowel, appy, chole, hernia, gastrectomy, PEG, spleen,
thyroid, trachs, I&Ds GYN: C-sections, hysterectomy (abd/vag),
salpingo-oophorectomy, tubals GU/Urology: Cystoscopy, lithotripsy,
nephrectomy, TURP, prostate, penile implant Ortho: Total joints,
ORIFs, ex-fix, trauma fractures (pelvis, femur, tib/fib, ankle,
foot) Neuro: Crani, lami, ACDF, shunts, EVD, tumor resections
Plastics / ENT / Eye / Thoracic / Endoscopy: Trauma plastics,
facial fractures, globe rupture, thoracotomy, lobectomy, bronchs,
EGD, colonoscopy Technology: DaVinci (x3), Stealth, O-arm, Holmium
lasers Schedule & Call Shifts: 8s & 12s 0630–1500 | 0630–1900 |
1830–0700 Scheduling: Self-scheduling, cyclic, based on department
needs Weeknight Call: 1× 4-hr call per week Weekend Call: Every ~5
weeks (2 rotating call teams) Holiday Call: Rotates between
in-house and call teams Orientation & Testing Orientation: 1 week
Mandatory Open-Book Exam: Given Friday of orientation 90% required
to pass or contract terminated Compliance & Policies Radius Rule:
Must live outside 50 miles Employment Restriction: Cannot be
FT/PT/PRN with CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity (past year) Driver’s
License: Required at submittal (used to verify radius) Nail Policy:
No artificial nails (non-compliance = termination) RTO: Must be
submitted upfront (?7 days per 13 weeks) No additional RTO approved
