Job Description:
Encompass Health Corporation, a leader in integrated healthcare
services, seeks an experienced Respiratory Therapy Supervisor to
oversee the respiratory care team across our inpatient and home
health settings. This role requires a deep understanding of
respiratory therapy, superlative communication skills, and proven
leadership abilities. The successful candidate will ensure the
delivery of optimal patient care, comply with health and safety
regulations, and lead a team of dedicated respiratory therapists.
Oversee the daily operations of respiratory therapy services Mentor
and train respiratory therapy staff Ensure adherence to health and
safety policies and procedures Develop and implement respiratory
care plans and protocols Evaluate patient care practices and make
recommendations for improvement Coordinate with other clinical
supervisors to integrate respiratory services with other patient
care services Manage department staffing, including hiring,
scheduling, and performance evaluations Proficiency in the use of
respiratory therapy equipment Strong leadership and team management
skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to
develop and implement clinical procedures and protocols Knowledge
of current healthcare regulations, including HIPAA Medical
Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Licensed
Respiratory Therapist (LRT) Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT)
or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification CPR and BLS
certifications
