Registered Nurse (RN) | Intensive Care Unit (ICU) / Critical Care Location: Omaha, NE Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,290 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 3/2/2026 About the Position Job Title: ICU Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12H Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years License: RN License Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with the health system. - RN's must pass a mandatory exam during orientation. - Artificial nails are prohibited in all departments providing patient care. - A driver's license is required to determine eligibility based on the radius rule. Description: This is a unit dedicated to providing care for a variety of ICU acuity patients. Duties include caring for vented patients and managing complex medical interventions. RN's are required to titrate drips, including vasopressors, inotropes, sedatives, heparin, octreotide, and insulin. There is a charge nurse on each shift who also takes an assignment. There are no nurse aids or patient care technicians on this unit. There is 24/7 in-house support from hospitalists or intensivists. The scheduling is done by a dedicated scheduler on a 6-week cycle. Weekend requirements are to work every other weekend, with holiday shifts rotating with permanent staff. Floating to other units may be required, including PCU or MedSurg. The dress code consists of navy blue scrubs. The unit seeks positive nurses willing to work collaboratively to overcome challenges. All requests for time off must be submitted upfront and will be limited. The hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts during the 13-week assignment. The charting system used is EPIC.
