We are seeking a Family Practice Physician Assistant for a 120-day locum tenens assignment with our client in South Dakota. This opportunity begins May 25, 2026, and offers a Monday through Friday schedule with day shifts. Join a small, well-established FQHC outpatient clinic known for its supportive environment and low patient volume. Job Details - Location: South Dakota - Facility Type: Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) - Start Date: May 25, 2026 - LOA: 120 days - Provider Type Needed: Family Practice Physician Assistant - Schedule: - Monday: 8:30 am – 5:00 pm - Tuesday: 8:00 am – 4:30 pm - Wednesday: 8:30 am – 5:00 pm - Thursday: 8:00 am – 4:30 pm - Friday: 8:30 am – 5:00 pm Responsibilities and Duties - Provide general outpatient family medicine care to patients of all ages except infants - Manage walk-in patients and scheduled visits, averaging 5-6 patients per day - No obstetric, infant care, or suturing responsibilities - Deliver patient-centered care with flexibility to spend ample time per visit - Maintain accurate documentation using Meditech EHR - Collaborate with clinic staff to ensure quality care and smooth clinic operations Additional Information - Must be a nationally certified Physician Assistant with SD license, or compact license if unlicensed in SD - Experience in family practice or primary care preferred - Board certification not required Benefits - Strong compensation - Travel-related expenses covered - A-rated medical malpractice insurance provided - Dedicated recruiter for future travel opportunities What are Locum Tenens Jobs?
