Job Description Medical Solutions Direct Hire is seeking a CVOR Technologist for a job in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: CVOR Technologist - Discipline: Allied Health Professional - Duration: Ongoing - 40 hours per week - Shift: 8 hours, days - Employment Type: Staff Sign-on bonus of $45,000 and tuition reimbursement up to $10,000 available. Schedule: 6:45am–5:15pm, four 10-hour shifts with call rotation. Position Summary Works as part of the surgical team by assisting physicians and maintaining a sterile field during surgical procedures using aseptic technique. Key Responsibilities - Prepare the operating room, supplies, and equipment - Review surgeon preferences and set up sterile fields - Perform surgical scrub and function as the scrub person during procedures - Maintain sterile technique and assist with draping and counts - Anticipate needs of the surgical team during procedures - Handle specimens according to policy - Assist with room turnover and equipment transport - Participate in surgical time-outs and safety procedures - Collaborate with the perioperative team and support quality improvement activities Requirements Education - Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program, or - Completion of an official U.S. Military Surgical Technology program, or - Five or more years of experience scrubbing surgical procedures in a hospital setting Experience - One to five or more years of operating room experience preferred Licenses and Certifications - BLS certification through the American Heart Association required within 45 days of hire - Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred Skills and Abilities - Strong attention to detail - Ability to follow clinical direction accurately - Basic math skills - Knowledge of anatomy, sterile technique, and operating room procedures Medical Solutions Direct Hire Job ID 924321.
