Unit: 6SW Post Critical – Cardiac Stepdown - Assignment Type:
Travel RN, On-Site - Start Date: December 1, 2025 - End Date: March
2, 2026 - Duration: 13-week contract - Shift: 12-hour nights, 3
shifts per week (every other weekend required) - Estimated Weekly
Pay: $1880–$2020 - EMR: Cerner Powerchart - Patient Ratio: 1:5
Registered Nurse Qualifications - Minimum 2 years of recent Cardiac
Stepdown or Progressive Care Unit (PCU) RN experience - At least 1
completed travel nursing contract - Active Iowa Registered Nurse
(RN) license (or compact state license) - Required certifications:
ACLS, BLS (AHA), NIHSS - Proven clinical skills in cardiac care,
including titration of cardiac drips - Strong communication,
teamwork, and critical thinking abilities - Submission of updated
resume, skills checklist (within 1 year), license verification,
certifications, and 1 supervisory reference Cardiac Stepdown RN
Responsibilities - Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in
the Cardiac Stepdown unit - Monitor and manage patients with CHF,
post-cardiac angiogram, ablation, pacemaker, TEE, cardioversion,
stroke, and cardiac drips (Nitro, Amiodarone, Cardiazem, Nirdipine,
Heparin, Lidocaine) - Titrate cardiac drips and respond to changes
in patient condition - Collaborate with interdisciplinary
healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans -
Float within the same nursing discipline across local Sioux City
campuses as needed - Document patient care accurately using Cerner
Powerchart EMR - Participate in holiday and weekend rotations as
