(ASL) Interpreting, certified ASL Interpreter credentials, and 1
year of experience as an ASL Interpreter in educational settings.
Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be
considered. A leading cooperative serving special education
programs across multiple districts seeks experienced Sign Language
Interpreters for two distinct assignments supporting Deaf and Hard
of Hearing (DHH) students in elementary settings. Location &
Assignments: Villa Park, IL | North Elementary School Full-time
assignment (7:45 AM 3:15 PM) until May 20th, 2026 Provide ASL
interpreting services within a self-contained DHH program.
Responsibilities include supporting students during activities such
as gym, art, music, music therapy, occupational therapy, physical
therapy, English learner services, and collaborating with Deaf
staff and a team of interpreters. Hinsdale, IL | Oak Elementary
School Part-time assignment (12:00 PM 3:00 PM) until May 20th, 2026
One-on-one interpreting services for a preschool student with
hearing needs. Key Qualifications: Active Illinois ASL Educator
Certification EIPA score of 3.5 or higher, or registration with the
Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID) Experience providing
ASL interpreting services in educational settings, preferably
within self-contained or early childhood programs Strong
collaboration skills and ability to work as part of an
interdisciplinary team Responsibilities: Deliver high-quality
interpreting services to facilitate communication between students,
staff, and families Adapt communication approaches to support
diverse educational activities and therapies Work collaboratively
with educators, therapists, and Deaf staff to meet student needs
Participate in team meetings and contribute to positive, inclusive

Compensation for this position ranges from $28.39 to $48.39.
