Location: Avera Behavioral Health Center-Sioux Falls Worker
Type: Regular Work Shift: Day Shift (United States of America) Pay
Range: The pay range for this position is listed below. Actual pay
rate dependent upon experience. $60,840.00 - $100,880.00 Position
Highlights This position will include working within the Sioux
Falls School System and will include elementary, middle school
and/or high school students and staff, providing outpatient mental
health therapy services, coordinating adolescent DBT/CBT groups and
being a point of contact for assigned school location and Avera.
This position will include identifying and completing intake
services for referred students. This position will be .83 FTE and
require therapist to work FT hours during academic calendar and 1
day a week TBD during non-academic calendar, June-August. Annual
retention bonus will be provided to qualified and eligible
candidates who remain for duration of programming. Therapist will
work in conjunction with public school district to provide mental
health services. This position is eligible for an $8,000 sign on
bonus over 24 months! Student Loan Repayment: This position may be
eligible for Avera's Student Loan Repayment Program, which helps
you pay off your loans and save money. Each month an extra payment
of $167 (up to $10,000) from Avera will help you pay down your

Brief Overview Assists in coordinating, planning, implementing and
facilitating programs and counseling services on an outpatient
basis. The Outpatient Therapist's responsibilities may include
several of the following areas: individual, group and family
counseling, crisis services/evaluation, tele-therapy services, and
current and future groups/programs. All of these areas may involve
providing assessments, facilitating treatment and crisis
intervention of clientele affected by mental health or dual
diagnoses issues. Providing community/education services will be a
part of this position and some travel is occasionally required.
What you will do Coordinates a clinical treatment program for the
diagnosis, treatment or referral of clients/patients presenting
moderate to severe social adjustment problems. Adheres to policies
which assure the confidentiality of client communications. Provides
for a multi-disciplinary, holistic approach to the treatment of
clients, coordinating same with appropriate hospital departments.
Conducts individual, family, or group therapy sessions in
accordance with accepted principles of the National Association of
Social Workers. Assesses progress of clients/patients and modify or
extend treatment program accordingly. Coordinates care of
clients/patients with referring physician or agency. Documents
therapy in accordance with hospital policies and procedures on
medical records. Intervenes as a crisis counselor in situations
requiring immediate psychological treatment such as substance
abuse, suicide attempts, psychotic episodes and other instances as
outlined in hospital policy. Refers client or patient to outside
agencies where appropriate. Communicates with family
members/significant others in order to further the effectiveness of
client/patient treatment and progress. Coordinates client/patient
billing and modify treatment program in accordance with insurance
coverage, plan provisions, and individual ability to pay. Provides
educational programs on a variety of psychological topics to
hospital/community groups as requested. Essential Qualifications

Required Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience:
Master's Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) - Licensing Board
An active license in the state of practice Upon Hire or Licensed
Professional Counselor (LPC) - Licensing Board An active license in
the state of practice Upon Hire and Qualified Mental Health
Provider (QMHP) - Licensing Board An active license in the state of
practice within 30 Days Preferred Education, License/Certification,
or Work Experience: 3 years related experience and/or training
Clinical experience facilitating group therapy sessions and
providing individuals counseling services Experience working with
clients having dual diagnoses issues (addictive disorders in
conjunction with mental health conditions) Clinical experience with
couples and/or family therapy Expectations and Standards Commitment
