HME Companies is a fast-paced, vertically integrated real estate development company dedicated to designing, building, and operating high-quality senior living and multifamily communities. We are growing rapidly and seeking an experienced, strategic, and self-driven Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our executive leadership team.The CFO will be responsible for overseeing and individually contributing to all financial aspects of the company, including shaping the company's financial strategy, management of the day to day accounting operations, securing project financing, managing capital structures, general oversight of development and operational budgets, and guiding long-term financial planning, especially as it pertains to the unique dynamics of the senior living sector. This executive will evaluate and develop complex financial models, ensure tax optimization, and provide strategic guidance and business planning on acquisitions, dispositions, and joint ventures. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of real estate market cycles, real estate property valuation methodologies, capital financing, and investor relations, with the ability to drive long-term financial growth and sustainability across all facets of the company.
Key Responsibilities:

• Partner with the executive leadership team to drive financial strategy and business planning.
• Advise on strategic investment opportunities, M&A, and capital allocation.
• Lead financial forecasting, modeling, and scenario planning for new developments.
• Be a key stakeholder in the team that manages relationships with investors, lenders, and joint venture partners.
• Develop and execute strategies for risk management, including identifying potential financial risks, assessing their impact, and implementing mitigation plans to protect the company's assets and ensure stability.
• Develop and monitor KPIs and financial dashboards tailored to real estate and senior housing performance.
• Develop and execute strategies for tax optimization.
• Collaborate with development, construction, and operational teams to ensure financial alignment across the project lifecycle.
• Monitor market trends, economic conditions, and regulatory changes impacting the real estate and senior living industries.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and real estate-specific financial reporting.
• Provide financial leadership in the evaluation of property dispositions and exit strategies.
• Lead a high-performing accounting team and foster a culture of transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement.Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a CFO or senior financial executive in a real estate-focused company, preferably with experience in senior living management.
  • Strong knowledge of real estate finance, valuation methods, and investment analysis.
  • Expertise in securing and managing complex capital structures.
  • Strong analytical skills and financial acumen, with the ability to interpret data and trends to drive business decisions.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Advanced understanding of tax strategies, real estate laws, and market dynamics.Additional Details:
    • The CFO will report directly to the President.
    • In-office position preferred to help foster new relationships and collaborate with existing team members.
