General Job Description
Supervisor will be responsible for the day-to-day operation,
problem solving, quality control and training of a team of
production welders, machinists and Pre-Fab operators. Successful
candidates will have strong leadership qualities, the ability to
work closely with management to meet production schedules and
provide feedback to improve product quality and manufacturing
efficiency, strong commitment to Health and Safety programs and the
ability to communicate effectively to team members and
management.
Ensure that health and safety obligations are carried out by
everyone working your bay/department.
Other responsibilities include the ability to lead, manage and
schedule employees depending on work demands; machining and weld
knowledge; logistical duties for equipment unloads and loads;
ability to train and to layout, position, align and fit parts of
structural metal products, ability to train and to operate hand
tools, power tools, overhead cranes and forklift, ability to read
blueprints, ability to use standard measuring devices. Perform and
assist with quality inspections when Quality Inspector is absence;
Basic shop math required. You will need mechanical abilities and
have attention to detail. Salary range DOE/Q.
