funded by the federal Workforce Innovation and Opportunities Act
(WIOA) with a grant from Iowa Workforce Development (IWD). Under
general direction of the program director, using independent
judgment and discretion and occasional guidance by the director,
this position provides direct supervision to the team members
operating within the programs such as Rapid Response and National
Dislocated Worker grants and other related local workforce
initiatives. The administrative office for this position with
Children & Families of Iowa is located in Fort Dodge and the office
serving the Central Iowa Local Workforce Development is located in
Spencer.Sample Program Manager Job Duties:
- Supervise career planner/advisors and other program staff.
- Coordinate and manage essential program components such as
participant training and workshop opportunities.
- Work closely with the program and agency's respective quality
assurance and improvement staff.
- Ensure the center is properly and adequately staffed each day
and are professionally prepared.
- Provide related community activities to facilitate programming
and participant goals.
- Provide case management.
- Perform all necessary record keeping and reporting functions as
required or ensure that it is being done to adhere to agency and

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in human service related field required. Two
years of experience working with individuals involved in the
justice system, or with a variety of barriers to success preferred.
Preference of at least two years of experience as a career planner
or advisor for a workforce development program. Experience with
technology required and must be proficient in time
