Job Description Job Description Controls Engineer Title: Sr. Controls Engineer Location: Aurora, OH Position Overview We are seeking a skilled Sr. Controls Engineer to design, develop, and implement control systems for various industrial applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in PLC programming, automation or machine design. We are seeking a senior level candidate you can help guide and support the rest of our team. Key Responsibilities Design and develop control systems for industrial automation projects. Program and configure PLCs, HMIs, and related control hardware. Conduct testing and commissioning of control systems to ensure proper functionality. Collaborate with project managers and other engineers to define project requirements and timelines. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to control systems and instrumentation. Create and maintain documentation including schematics, functional specifications, and user manuals. Provide technical support and training to end-users on control systems. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Engineering, or related field. Proven experience in PLC programming and/or control system design or machine design Familiarity with automation technologies and project management principles. Knowledge of industrial standards and safety regulations. Experience with Allen Bradley PLCs, Modbus, and Ethernet communications. Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical for schematic design. Understanding of motor control systems, including VFDs and servos. Experience with instrumentation, hydraulics, and pneumatics is a plus.
