This role blends technical expertise with leadership—managing a small internal team and external engineering partners while remaining hands-on in design and project coordination. The Engineering Manager will ensure all engineering deliverables align with project schedules, budgets, and construction needs. Responsibilities - Oversee and contribute to engineering design and execution for industrial construction projects - Manage and mentor a team of 4–5 internal engineers and coordinate third-party engineering subcontractors - Maintain alignment between engineering output and project construction schedules - Visit job sites as needed to resolve technical issues and support field operations - Lead and facilitate team meetings, client communications, and project reviews Qualifications and Requirements - Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering required; Professional Engineer (PE) license mandatory - 10 years of experience in engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) or industrial project environments - Strong understanding of structural, mechanical, and civil systems in industrial applications - Skilled communicator with proven ability to lead teams and manage subcontractor performance - Proficiency in Autodesk and Microsoft Office tools; familiarity with project scheduling software a plus - Willingness to travel as needed Benefits and Perks - $140,000 – $170,000 annual salary - Medical, dental, and vision insurance - 401(k) retirement plan - Paid holidays and PTO - Relocation assistance available Your New Organization Join a well-established, privately held EPC and construction services provider supporting industrial, infrastructure, and energy markets across the U.S. The environment is fast-paced and collaborative, combining engineering precision with field execution excellence. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future and continued salary growth.
