Today, we have a team of 120 skilled professionals spanning across
offices in Missoula, MT (headquarters); Bozeman, MT; Vancouver, WA;
Denver, CO; Sioux Falls, SD, and Reno, NV. Job Summary DJ&A is
seeking full-time Transportation Design Engineers with 1-10 years
of relevant experience. Must have an EIT certificate at a minimum.
The candidate must be a problem solver, capable of effective
communication, and possess analytical and organizational skills.
The ideal candidate will be an industry professional that will have
a broad base of civil engineering and road and highway design
experience. Must be a motivated self-starter who embraces the
opportunity to work on a variety of projects in the western U.S.
Must be team oriented and possess a desire to learn and grow with
the company. Primary Duties and Responsibilities Assist in
delivering engineering designs for Local, State, and Federal
highway and transportation projects. Support teams in the design
and delivery of roadway infrastructure projects varying in size and
complexity. Work with multidisciplinary teams in a leading or
supporting role. Provide assistance to our design team as required,
which may include the use of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar
programs. Performing detailed CAD design including roadway
geometric design. Assisting in verifying code compliance, quality
checks, and implement QA/QC procedures. Required Skills and
Abilities: Experience in AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or MicroStation
InRoads and/or OpenRoads is desired. Excellent written and verbal
communication skills. Excellent planning, organizational, and
communication skills. Highly proficient analytical and
problem-solving skills. Independent, self-motivated,
results-oriented, and dynamic. Ability to work under tight
deadlines and with geographically dispersed teams. Education and
Experience: B.S. in Civil Engineering or related engineering field
and EIT certificate (minimum). Project experience with federal
agencies (FHWA, NPS, USFS, NRCS, etc.) is a plus. Well versed in
transportation design including AASHTO, MUTCD, NACTO, and State DOT
Manuals Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods sitting at a desk
and working at a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at
times. Must be able to travel to various (and sometimes remote)
project sites. Must be able to access and navigate job sites and
construction areas. Wage and Benefits Wage commensurate with
