Job Description:

We’re seeking a knowledgeable and proactive Commercial Safety Manager to lead our safety program across multiple job sites. As a key member of our team, you’ll be responsible not only for ensuring compliance and reducing risk, but also for educating subcontractors , promoting a safety-first culture , and contributing to project proposal development with detailed safety plans. Key Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and enforce company-wide safety programs and site-specific safety plans Lead safety orientations and ongoing training for subcontractors, field crews, and staff Conduct regular jobsite inspections, audits, and incident investigations Create and maintain documentation including JHAs (Job Hazard Analyses), safety meeting logs, and reports Collaborate with project managers and superintendents to ensure safety compliance throughout project lifecycles Write and contribute to safety sections of project proposals, bids, and RFPs Stay current with OSHA regulations and industry best practices Serve as the point of contact for all safety-related issues and regulatory interactions Qualifications: 5 years of safety management experience in commercial construction OSHA 30 Certification (OSHA 500 or CSP preferred)- NOT REQUIRED Proven experience training and coaching subcontractors or field crews Strong written communication skills for proposal writing and safety documentation Knowledge of federal, state, and local safety regulations Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills Ability to travel to job sites as needed What We Offer: Competitive salary and bonus opportunities Health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with employer match Company vehicle or travel allowance Please send your resume to Megan Cantone @ megan.cantone@gogpac.com OR call 605.610.1570 !
