now hiring for an AG Advisor near our Nehawka, NE location.This
position is being offered as full-time with benefits. An AG Advisor
is responsible for leveraging agronomic expertise to develop and
execute holistic farm strategies tailored to each customers unique
needs. Primary objective will be to foster long-term partnerships
with growers, guiding them through the vision creation process as
well as the planning and execution phases to maximize long term
productivity and profitability. Essential duties: Finalize sale
offirst and foremostthe whole farm philosophy, which includes
products and services. Empathy and listening are paramount.
Maintain emotional stability when challenges arise during the
planning and execution stages. Practices and adheres to
professional communications and customer service standards with
customers, employees, and vendors. Work as a viable team member and
communicate with all AG Advisors and Location Managers to best
coordinate services, machinery, equipment, spray orders and
employees to efficiently meet the needs of the customer. Apply
critical thinking to forecast positive outcomes for producers by
implementing a structured strategy to analyze past product
performance, seed selection, fertility practices, crop production
methods, equipment nuances, and unique grower challenges. Based on
analyzed information, develops, presents, and implements producers
Farm plan that focuses on the most efficient and effective methods
to improve crop production. Makes recommendations to producers on
seed type and size, crop rotations, type and amounts of dry or
liquid fertilizer, type and amounts for herbicide, fungicide, or
insecticide treatments. Proactively implements, executes and
processes prepayment plans of seed, fertilizer, chemicals and other
relevant services. After working with the grower on this strategic
plan, provides and articulates this information to accounting to
finalize arrangement in the billing system. Proactively plans
logistics on behalf of growers by assisting the operational process
of getting products and services from vendor to locations and/or
custom farmgate. Utilizing specialized, streamlined softwareassist
operations by developing accurate field boundaries and creating
work orders that accurately reflect products, product totals,
special field instructions and billing information based on the
customized plan thats been finalized with the grower to ensure the
timely and accurate application of products and services.
Responsible for promoting, supporting, and advancing the
cooperative business and marketing plans put forth by the VP of
Agronomy. Grow and maintain agronomy customer base. Initiate the
promotion of Frontiers products and go-to market strategy by
maintaining a field presence from planting through harvest. Create
an environment of constant improvement through testing and analysis
amongst customers as well as instilling confidence by re-iterating
the execution of the current Farm Plan. Analyzing, recommending,
and resolving customer service problems by making appropriate
recommendations; provides quality follow-up to ensure customer
problems or issues are resolved. Maintains professional and
technical knowledge by attending educational workshops for required
CEUs; Bio-Tech manufacture seminars or webinars, reviewing
technical publications, and establishing personal networks. Job
skills and requirements: This position must have knowledge, skills
and abilities in agronomy retail products and services, agronomy
sales, customer service, time management, safety management,
problem solving, and analyzing information. Demonstrate proficiency
with computers, Microsoft Office products, Internet based programs,
agronomy software programs, and technology as it evolves and
pertains to agriculture. Knowledge and understanding of soil
fertility, fertilizer and chemical traits and properties, seed type
and traits, various crop life, and methods and materials used in
the proper planting and maintenance of crops, and general
agricultural chemistry. Ability to interpret a variety of
instructions furnished in written, oral, or electronic form; read
and interpret documents such as safety rules, product information,
operating procedure manuals and instructions. Ability to write
routine reports, Farm Plans and general correspondence. Perform
basic math computations. Such as; discounts, interest, proportions,
percentages, mass, area, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of
basic algebra and geometry. Bachelors degree in Agronomy or related
field required and/or a minimum of three years in agronomy and/or
agronomy sales experience or equivalent combination of education
