( A Day in the Life of Our Apprentices) Day in the Life of an HH
Automotive Technician Apprentice: Imagine starting your day in a
busy, high-energy Shop where every car tells a story. As an
apprentice, you will: Kick Off the Day: Help set up the Shop,
organize tools, and check in with your Mentor. Learn by Doing:
Assist with inspections, Technician videos, diagnostics and repairs
with an experienced, Master Technicians. Get Hands-On: Practice
using tools and diagnostic equipment under guidance. Tackle Real
Repairs: Work on Customer vehicles, troubleshoot issues, and learn
documentation processes. Wrap Up: Clean the workspace, review what
you learned, and prepare for tomorrow. Every day brings new
challenges, new skills, and the chance to grow into a certified
technician. If you love cars and want a career that keeps you
moving, this is the perfect start! Qualifications - What You Need
to be Successful: You’ll Be Successful Here When You: Do you have a
passion for cars and a curiosity about how they work? This is your
chance to learn the automotive industry from a Technician’s
perspective! Interest in Automotive: Basic vehicle knowledge and a
willingness to learn. (Taking auto mechanics classes is a bonus,
but not required!) Positive Energy: Bring a great attitude and
enthusiasm to the team. Adaptability: Ability to multitask,
prioritize, and manage time effectively. Hands-On Work: Comfortable
standing for long periods and working with your hands. Physical
Readiness: Able to bend, push, climb, twist, reach, kneel, and
perform other movements needed for the job. Requirements: Must pass
pre-employment screenings (drug test, background check and lift
assessment). Driving Eligibility: Valid driver’s license and clean
driving record required for candidates 18. (Students aged 16–17 can
join but will not drive dealership or Customer vehicles.) NOTE:

your growth and development. Since each person learns differently,
some students will prefer to sit in the passenger seat and watch,
while others want to jump right in a drive. We work with how you
learn best! A Typical Schedule looks like: Summer hours between:
Monday-Friday, 8am to 5pm, with a rotating Saturday, 8am to 1pm.
Students may work up to 40 hours during their Apprenticeship.
