Heavy Civil Superintendent – Travel (Heavy Highway, DOT, FAA
Projects) Are you a hands-on leader who thrives in the field? Do

right—top to bottom—this is the opportunity. Position Overview: Our
client, a well-respected Heavy Civil General Contractor, is looking
for a Working Superintendent to join their team. This role is ideal
for someone who enjoys balancing boots-on-the-ground leadership
with operating equipment. You’ll oversee crews, schedules, safety,
and quality while also jumping in on equipment as needed—up to 50%
of the time. This is a traveling role with projects across NE, KS,
IA, SD, ND, and MT. Project scopes are heavy highway, DOT, and FAA
with values typically ranging from $5M to $25M . What You’ll Need:
Proven experience leading Heavy Highway, DOT, or FAA projects
Comfortable running crews and operating heavy equipment GPS
(Trimble) experience is required Strong knowledge of schedules,
quality, safety, and subcontractor management Willingness to travel
