Job Description:
SUMMARY: The Associate Financial Analyst is responsible for
supporting the accounting team with a focus on data integrity. This
position partners across departments to assist non-finance
functions on projects, questions, and interpreting accounting
policies. Employs strong communication skills in working with the
business to understand implications of various finance decisions
and support continuous improvement efforts.DUTIES AND
RESPONSIBILITIES:Ensures compliance with state taxes, federal
excise tax, and grant reportingImplements weekly payroll processing
activities including calculations, loading batches, and performing
the payroll accounting functionPartners with manufacturing on
inventory, tracking systems, capital expenditure information, and
budgeting/forecastingSupports finance with preparation of plans,
policies, documents and reportsCommunicates regularly with internal
partners on accounting statusDelivers on routine accounting tasks
to provide defined outputsEscalates problems or issues relating to
transactions, processes, reports, and proceduresUtilizes system
applications, databases, and Excel spreadsheets to present
meaningful information across all functions of the
organizationAssists with budgeting process and period end closing
activitiesEnters data and processes reports in ERP systemValidate
assets and liabilities to ensure reporting
accuracyQUALIFICATIONS:AA required / BA preferred in Accounting,
Finance or Economics or equivalent combination of education and
experience0 - 2 years of related experience and/or
trainingProficiency in Microsoft Office with advanced Excel skills
including experience creating pivot tables and V look up
tablesDetail oriented with strong organizational skillsProven
problem-solving and critical skillsAbility to work with
cross-functional teams to achieve business goalsExcellent
communication skills, both written and verbalAbility to work under
strict deadlines with superior time management skillsA self-starter
with an intellectual curiosity and a strong willingness to

and hours of work: Monday through Thursday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.,
Fridays 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
