Description:POSITION: AccountantREPORTS TO: Fiscal
DirectorSALARY: As per agency salary schedule FLSA: ExemptHYBRID
WORK: EligibleJOB SUMMARY: The person in this position is
responsible for assistance of monthly and all related reporting
requirements. The preparation and timely mailing of varied reports.
Helping the Fiscal Department where needed.ESSENTIAL DUTIES:Coding
and processing agency cash receiptsPrepare and monitor monthly
expenditure journal vouchers for expense allocationsReconcile and
prepare reports on a monthly basis for various funding sources as
assignedCompletion of monthly board reports with fund and credit
card detailPrepare agency budgets and work with program directors
to prepare program budgetsPrepare adjusting entries for Outreach
unapplied/unobligated funds quarterly.Monitor and allocate agency
insurance paymentsMonitor and assist users with Microix purchase
order system. Set up security and workflow assignments.Work with
various program directors and agency & state auditors with desk
reviews and monitoring.Reconcile/process monthly mileage logs for
agency vehiclesYear-end close out procedures for agency and the
creation, distribution, and filing of 1099'sPrepare spreadsheets
and reports for agency audit & 990 tax returnAttend trainings and
meetings as requiredOTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Assist the
Fiscal Director as needed.Assist with audit preparationsAssist in
the Fiscal Department as needs ariseOther duties as
assigned.Requirements:KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:Minimum
two-year degree in Accounting and prefer previous experience in an
accounting or payroll position.Able to understand and comprehend
the balance sheet and income statementsStrong computer knowledge;
emphasis on Windows, Excel spreadsheets and computer accounting and
payroll software.Written and verbal communication skills with the
ability to draft forms and letters with minimal
supervision.Telephone skills as needed for fiscal inquires and
information.Ability work independently in a time sensitive
environmentAbility to prioritize and organize workload, multi-task,
adopt quickly to change and deliver under the pressure of
deadlines.Professional office skills with organizational
competency, and ability to make independent decisions and meet
required deadlines.Competency on 10-key calculator.Ability to
perform medium heavy physical work, exerting up to 50 pounds of
force on occasion, up to 20-30 pounds frequently, and up to 5-10
pounds constantly, performing such activities as stooping,
kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting,
including some duties requiring repetitive motion for limited
