Job Description:

Position DescriptionOverall Responsibilities:The Accounting Specialist manages incoming and outgoing transactions with the goal of maintaining accurate accounting ledgers. This position collaborates with each accounting team to develop and implement improvements. - - - - - - - - -Essential Job Functions:

• Perform bank reconciliation and assist with general cash management functions
• Assist with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions
• Serve as administrator of accounting basic data in various platforms
• Perform routine general ledger reconciliation and month end close tasks
• Oversee corporate invoice processing
• Post journal entries to the general ledger
• Assist with payroll processing and payroll related items
• Support the accounting department with the completion of year-end audit
• Perform or assist in various analyses
• Assist on special projects and assignments as needed
• Other duties as assignedJOB REQUIREMENTSPosition RequirementsQualifications:
  • Associate's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field or equivalent work experience
  • 2 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping experience preferred
  • Strong quantitative skills and competency working with large sets of data in Excel, Smartsheet, or other analytics tools as needed, certification in the use of these tools a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to think creatively to improve processes and solve problems
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain effective work relationships with internal and external team, which may include cross-departmental relationships
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
  • Excellent computer skills, specifically with Microsoft Office
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently
  • Timeliness in completing assignments with deadlines and due dates
